Weā€™ve gone soft. Weā€™ve rebuilt our 1460 lace-up boot using soft, premium Ambassador leather with a textured, tumbled finish. The supple, lightly oiled leather makes slipping into an Original Dr. Martens boot even easier. The sole is secured with DMā€™s yellow welt stitching and marked with our signature grooving pattern. The top of the boot is tagged with our unmistakable black and yellow heel loop.

Ā  Ā  Born on 1st April 1960. Named the 1460 boot. Our 8-eye boot is unmistakable. Remixed and redefined ā€” never replicated.

Ā  Ā  Ambassador is a heavyweight and oily leather thatā€™s been tumbled for added character. Clean with a damp cloth and care with Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam.

Ā  Ā  The DMS sole is a cornerstone of Dr. Martens construction. A two-tone PVC sole marked with our signature grooving and our unique tread.

Ā  Ā  Our Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed and reinforced with our signature welt stitch.Ā

The bovine ChromeFree leather is smooth and light. Coming from farms located in the south of Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul), it undergoes an innovative tanning process where no chrome, heavy metals or dangerous acids are involved. By simplifying the tanning process, the use of chemicals and energy is limited, the use of water is reduced by about 40% and the use of salt by 80%. After tanning, the water is recyclable.
